Welcome to my website

I hope that you will find it informative, educational, and at times provocative.

It is my intention to offer you information about myself, the work that I do, and the Town that I represent as an elected official. I will try to stay within the bounds of municipal work but I sometimes engage in some topics which reach well beyond the local political scene.

Feel free to contact me. I will endeavour to respond to your email promptly and I will share some of the email concerns and responses in future updates.

Through this website, I want to share with you some of the highlights of our local and regional government. My views are my own and they are informed by the various technical reports, studies, staff recommendations, and political debates. My views are also informed by what I hear from the people on the street, at the bus stop, pub, coffee shop or any social gathering. After all, sometimes the best information comes from the personal experiences of everyday people like you.

Thank you for your interest,

There are few women in municipal politics today who have made an impact like Lois Hancey.  She is the longest serving female politician in Richmond Hill history.  The attached video of some of her accomplishments is for you to enjoy.

  • Brenda, whether at the Town, the Region, as Chair of Community Services Committee or at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, it is you who is passionate, articulate and dedicated. Let it be me who thanks you for all your support and immense leadership, daniele

  • I, Lois Hancey, former Regional Councillor endorse Brenda Hogg for re-election as she is compassionate, persistent, a fact-finder and above all has common sense. She has earned your vote on Monday, October 27, 2014.

  • "Brenda has been an integral supporter of Hill House Hospice since its inception in 1998. As one of our founding volunteers, Brenda worked alongside of our founder, Anne Gold, to fundraise, spread the word and even painted a wall or two! Brenda never hesitates to participate in activities that raise funds and awareness of Hill House Hospice. Thanks Brenda, for making a difference to our community."
